Forgive me for asking a strange question, but your talents seem far-reaching and it occurs to me that if anyone can create a feasible solution to my problem it's you. This problem has been going on for about ten years now. When I am going to sleep, right before I fall asleep, I will see vivid images of monsters. These images wake me up and I cannot sleep any longer. Usually it is a commonplace animal, a horse, a wolf, or a cat; but the animal has strange eyes, often eyes from different species of spiders. The first time this happened I was falling asleep in the backseat of a car on a road trip with my ex boyfriend and I suddenly saw a wolf with the eyes of a Phidippus clarus jumping spider. It happens frequently enough that I sometimes lose sleep. Do you think there is a creative solution? I think I've tried everything. Most recently I saw my own cat, a fluffy grey bobtail, with the eyes of a Japanese giant hornet. Please let me know if you have any ideas, Mr Murakami. Thank you!

Dear Luke at the Coffee Shop,
I have no idea at all what is going on in your mind. I am just a novelist, not a therapist. The only advice I can give you is that you should keep a record of your fantasy as detailed as you can. I have a feeling that would help you. I wish that you are feeling better.
